Out2Play Keeps Boredom at Bay

The school holidays will soon be upon us again, but fear not The Children’s Centre Out2Play team will be hitting the road to keep boredom at bay. This fantastic FREE open access play scheme will be at 14 locations in the Easter Holidays between Tuesday 6th April and Friday 16th April.

The sessions are FREE of charge and offer play activities for children at locations around the island. Out2Play runs two 2 hour sessions every day, and because you can never be too sure of the weather at this time of the year, we’re playing it safe and holding them indoors! The playscheme is staffed by our fun-loving team of professional playworkers so the children are bound to have a great time.

Children will need to bring a drink with them as the play is energetic. It can get very messy so it is advisable to wear old clothes and footwear that will cope with the demands of running around and please leave valuables safely at home.

As the scheme has an ‘open access’ policy, it means that children are free to come and go as they please and so sessions are aimed at older children aged 5-11 years. Parents are welcome to stay and join in with the fun too; any younger children may attend if they are accompanied by a responsible adult. Children can attend a single session or as many as they wish but must be signed in at each session by a parent/guardian so that the senior play-worker has emergency contact information. There is no need to book in advance – just come along and join in the fun!
