Grants from UK and local Trusts enable us to develop new projects and support existing services across the Isle of Man. We apply to Trusts to provide us with funds for specific projects, equipment and salary costs for essential staff. By pledging funds over several years they also help us to ensure the longevity of our work with children, young people and families.
The following Trusts are currently supporting our work on the Island:
Children in Need has provided further funding from 2010 to develop and facilitate activities for preschool aged children at the Philip Christian Centre in Peel.
We have been able to employ an apprentice to join our Mobex team with three year salary funding from The Rank Foundation.
Supporting the development of our service through investments into vital equipment such as wheelchair lifts, The Manx Lottery Trust have most recently granted funds of £60,000 to our new building on Woodbourne Road in Douglas.
Dr Scholl Foundation has supported the charity for many years and is currently part funding a Playworker salary throughout 2009.
We work hard to build close relationships with our funders, giving them insight into our services and keeping them fully informed about the differences that their funding is making to local children, young people and families here on the Isle of Man.
