Young people can make real changes in their lives and we know that MOBEX can play a part in making that happen.
We work with young people from all backgrounds, who, through challenge, adventure activities and creative projects, are able to discover new abilities to succeed in their lives and deal with the issues that adolescence and early adulthood bring. At the heart of the MOBEX way is experiential learning – enabling our young people to learn about themselves, their behaviours and their capacity – through experiencing outdoor education and creative activities, then illustrating how that learning applies to their everyday life.
Our staff team all work to the highest professional standards and hold relevant outdoor qualifications which enables MOBEX to offer a full range of activities such as kayaking, abseiling, rock climbing, coasteering, gorge walking, paddle boating, surfing, bush craft, mountain biking, hill walking and navigation training. MOBEX holds full activity insurance and is the first Isle of Man based provider to be licensed and accredited through the UK Adventure Activity Licensing Authority.
MOBEX is…
Mobile - our team is able to travel to any venue on the Isle of Man or in the UK that best suits the young people we are working with.
Flexible - we design each programme hand in hand with the young people involved.
Networking - we work alongside other organisations already engaging with groups of young people.
Low cost - The Children’s Centre raises charitable funds to subsidise Mobex’s use to the public.
For more information on The Children’s Centre MOBEX Project please contact Kieran Stoutt; and to see what the team have been doing recently please look at the MOBEX Gallery.
