The reality is that in the Isle of Man there are currently over 110 looked-after children and young people living either with foster carers, kinship carers or in residential care.
Our Outreach team works with vulnerable young people and their families to try and prevent this from happening by offering tailor made programmes to suit individual needs; providing support and advice in a friendly and informal way.
By supporting young people and their families through these difficult periods in their lives, and putting their needs first, we are able to help them make a successful transition from teenager into adulthood.
The Children’s Centre Outreach team works in partnership with Social Services. All referrals are made by Social Workers and are allocated through a central referral panel that meets once a fortnight. If you feel that you may require the support of the Outreach Team then please contact the Duty Social Work Team on 01624 686179.
