The Children's Centre were delighted to attend The Joanna Simpson Foundation awareness raising lunch at the Comis Hotel in November to launch our partnership.

Over 130 guests including the Lieutenant Governor His Excellency Sir Richard Gozney and The Honourable Howard Quayle MHK heard a personal message of support from HRH the Duchess of Cornwall.

Emma Barton from Radio Five Live and Hettie Barkworth - Nanton, former trustee of The Joanna Simpson Foundation, now chairperson of Refuge UK, also sent video messages of support for the newly launching Domestic Abuse Service.

The Joanna Simpson Foundation have agreed to fund the project for the next 3 years, allowing The Children's Centre this fantastic opportunity to deliver a dedicated service dealing specifically with domestic abuse, which will begin in January 2021 headed by the newly appointed Domestic Abuse Support Lead Joni Beck.
