The Children’s Centre are overwhelmed with the fantastic amount raised by the support of the Manx community for the 17 cyclists that rode from London to Nice in May.

The team have raised over £30,000 with funds still coming in.

The event, was sponsored by Playtech, the kit by KPMG with the Isle of Man Steam Packet supporting the travel, was a great success with everyone enjoying a challenging cycle for the local charity. A huge thank you to the sponsors.

Children’s Centre Event organiser Lisa Motley and cycle participant in the challenge said “We really went for it this year with this endurance event – the team rode almost 1,000 miles and climbed 60,000ft including the iconic Mont Ventoux but all their efforts have paid off with this incredible amount raised. These funds will make a massive impact on the care and support our Charitable services team can deliver. I cannot thank everyone enough. We do have more challenges planned for 2018 and 2019 so I would encourage everyone to follow the charity on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and continue to support the valuable work we deliver to children, young people and their families within our community.
