Family Placement Service Manager

Purpose of the job:

This is a key Management operational post which will be responsible for the safe and excellent delivery of Family Placement Services contracted to The Children’s Centre.

The Family Placement Services Manager will work with the Senior Leadership Team, team members, the Department of Health and Social Care to implement a joined up service which will meet the needs of children requiring alternative family placements on the Isle of Man. This includes Fostering, Family and Friends Foster Care and Adoption and Special Guardianship.

The role holder is the Registered Manager for the service and as such will ensure that services delivered are of high quality, operating above the Minimum standards and delivering the requirements of the contracted services. The Family Placement Services Manager is required to lead a team of professionals to successfully deliver the requirements of the current contract and prepare plans and tenders for future extended contracts and opportunities.

To have lead responsibility for measuring the performance targets of the service and to report these to Managers on a regular basis.
