The Children’s Centre develops, manages, and pioneers a variety of community initiatives and services aimed at enabling children, young people and families to realise their full potential. We are an independent Manx charity – undertaking our own projects and working with others – to put children, young people and families first.
Please take some time to look through our Annual Review for 2012, and please become a Friend of The Children's Centre and help to fund our charitable projects - MOBEX, Out2Play, the Child Contact Centre and the Community Farm.
JCK help improve Community Farm access
The Children’s Centre’s Community Farm now has improved access for visitors. JCK, the Island’s leading plant hire and demolition company, has laid paths and put down paving to make it easier to get from the main building and courtyard to the vegetable patch and out-buildings. Particular attention has been paid to improving wheelchair access, and disabled parking spaces have been created in the main car park and in the courtyard.
Teams are being urged to sign up The Children’s Centre’s annual charity golf day being held at Peel Golf Club on Friday June 14. Teams have a chance to win the coveted Golf Day Trophy - which was won last year by Barclays – and there will also be prizes for nearest to the pin and the longest drive. All funds will go to The Children’s Centre’s charitable projects which help families and children across the Island.

A team of charity fundraisers aims to walk to the top of the four highest points in Britain and the Isle of Man - and cycle hundreds of miles in between. The nine man team is hoping to raise £5,000 which will go towards The Children’s Centre’s charitable projects across the Island.
Charity fundraisers – including some in fancy dress – took part in an abseil from the top of the Point of Ayre lighthouse. A total of 52 made the daring 105-foot descent on Saturday (April 13). It was all to raise funds for The Children’s Centre’s work with families and children across the Island. All the participants received expert instruction from charity’s MOBEX outdoor pursuits team.
