The Board of Trustees
As a registered charity on the Isle of Man, we are governed by our trustees, who are also the company directors. The current board is made up of individuals who bring a wide range of skills and expertise to the charity. Let’s meet them.
Linda Muirhead
Linda became a trustee in April 2016. She brings with her over 20 years' experience of operational improvement and transformation, mostly in the life assurance industry.
Linda has operated at both senior management and board level. And has a proven track record in strategy development, business planning and operational change.
Michael Crosbie
Michael was appointed trustee in 2021, five years after moving to the Isle of Man with his young family to start-up a successful fin-tech business. He also has a proven record in building new business in a multitude of industries such as travel, hospitality, retail, healthcare, marketing and blockchain. Michael’s strength lies in the sound operational development of businesses; their systems, people, leadership and work practices. Michael is proudly pragmatic, thrives on challenge, is a keen golfer, wine enthusiast and a devoted father of two. This is Michael's first trustee appointment and he is proud to be part of an inspiring organisation achieving so much for children, young people and families.
Ron Berry
Ron Berry is the managing director and founding shareholder of 3FM, the Isle of Man's leading music radio station, which started broadcasting in 2004. With a background that spans over 40 years in sales and marketing, Ron founded and ran a successful advertising and design agency on the Island for 20 years. He went on to sell this to a multi-national group in 2006. Ron then took up an appointment with the Isle of Man Government as their Inward Investment Advisor for e business development, a post he held for four years before turning his attention back to radio. Ron served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce until 2020, has been an advisor to a number of Island Charities and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Onchan. Ron is married to Sarah, owner of Spill the Beans Coffee Shop in Douglas. They have two daughters and a granddaughter.
Tracy Broom
Tracy brings over 40 years of nursing and leadership experience - across primary, community and acute healthcare. Since moving to Port St Mary in 2020, she has held senior roles as a Director at Hospice Isle of Man and as a Strategic Lead within the Island’s Health & Care Transformation Team. Over the past 15 years, she has specialised in healthcare transformation and quality improvement, championing approaches that support patients, families and staff.
Now retired from the NHS, Tracy continues to serve the community as Vice Commodore of the Isle of Man Yacht Club and as a member of the Port St Mary RNLI crew. Her commitment to service, good governance and community wellbeing underpins her contribution as a Trustee.
