Family Support is a service which believes in the power of early intervention – helping families, particularly those with young children, when they realise that they are struggling to cope.
The Family Support team have many years experience helping families with children and young people displaying challenging behaviours.
The experienced and qualified team are now able to offer further assistance by providing a range of informative sessions and workshops to help guide families through various childhood development stages.

Family Support is expert at noticing the early warning signs which indicate that a family may be facing problems and difficulties which could lead to further family breakdown.
Early warning signs like poor school attendance, anti-social behaviour or a number of additional learning needs. If unchecked, these can grow and become serious threats to the family's ongoing stability.
In addition, families may have other substantial needs, including mental health issues or a history of domestic violence, making early intervention more vital than ever.
Family Support takes a 'whole family' approach, always aware that the family needs to be considered as a whole, rather than just a collection of individuals, and that every family is different.
Working closely with others
We work in close cooperation with a number of other specialist agencies across the Isle of Man, including the police, schools and the health service. This complements our whole family approach.
Referrals also come from a range of sources, including teachers and health visitors.
The support we offer depends upon the individual circumstances of each family, but could be everything from play therapy to parental education, budgeting advice to additional classroom support.
